Republicans are convinced that Democrats are running another political scam against President Donald Trump with claims he committed an impeachable offense by ‘demanding’ that Ukrainian President Zelensky provide “dirt” on former Vice President Joe Biden or risk losing military aide.
These claims were bolstered on Wednesday by the president himself who threw out a name during a press conference — Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), head of the House Intelligence Committee — as the person responsible for filing a “whistleblower” complaint regarding the phone call.
You may have heard that someone filed a complaint with the Intelligence Community Inspector General last month claiming that the president, on his call, made a quid pro quo demand of Zelensky even though a transcript of that call has been released by the White House and it doesn’t show that Trump made any such demand.
Still, Democrats are taking this ‘complaint’ seriously, as is the Democrat propaganda Washington media, because they hate Trump and they want to use it as Exhibit A for a future impeachment inquiry.
Republicans have said this smells like the same kind of political setup that “Russiagate” and “Spygate” were; all smoke, no fire, and, as we learned in the end, no evidence. Those scandals stemmed from the Obama deep state’s attempts to depose President Trump and overturn the 2016 election results.
“Ukrainegate,” these GOP members believe, is just the latest chapter in the ongoing coup attempt to remove a duly-elected president. (Related: Trump fires back at Dems with both barrels; calls out liar Schiff and party’s ‘BULLSH*T’ impeachment inquiry.)
Come to find out, the so-called whistleblower never actually heard the conversation between Trump and Zelensky, but instead, reports noted, was given second- and perhaps even third-hand information regarding the call.
What’s more, the ICIG just recently changed the whistleblower reporting requirement from “first-hand knowledge” to allow for this mysterious whistleblower with second- and third-hand info to be able to file his/her complaint. The IC inspector general rigged the game, in other words.
Republicans — and the president — then began to ask, well, just who is this alleged whistleblower? Democrats and their establishment media liars have squawked that the president is threatening that person even though Trump has never made any such statement.
It could be they all are asking who the whistleblower is because they already know or, at least, Trump thinks he already knows.
During a press conference Wednesday, the president accused Schiff of actually helping to write the whistleblower’s complaint after The New York Times revealed that Schiff had lied in a televised interview two weeks ago that neither he nor his office had spoken “directly” to the individual.
The California Democrat who has long been a thorn in Trump’s side had previously claimed in a televised interview that, “we have not spoken directly with the whistleblower.” A Schiff spokesperson seemingly narrowed that claim late Wednesday, telling Fox News that the Intelligence Committee chair himself “does not know the identity of the whistleblower, and has not met with or spoken with the whistleblower or their counsel” for any reason.
2/2 I think the answer is obvious. He knew how it would look. So he gave this answer, “We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower.” If by “we” he meant only himself, he’s being slippery. If by “we” he meant himself and his staff, he lied.

That turns out to be completely false, which is pretty typical for Schiff, who can’t seem to speak without ‘misrepresenting’ himself.
“It shows that Schiff is a fraud. … I think it’s a scandal that he knew before,” the president said, as the president of Finland stood at an adjacent podium. “I’d go a step further. I’d say he probably helped write it. … That’s a big story. He knew long before, and he helped write it too. It’s a scam.”
He then said Schiff had a “mental breakdown” and may even have committed a crime by telling an inaccurate, exaggerated version of the transcript of Trump’s Ukraine call.
These people are gunning for our duly-elected president, and they will say and do anything to depose him.
Our republic is under siege.
